Nicolas started Judo at the age of 5, his love for Judo came from his father who was the Judo Instructor.

Throughout his Judo career in France he trained at US Dugny Judo, CYS La Courneuve Judo and RSC Montreuil. He also regularly trained at INSEP and INJ which are the National Institutes for the French National teams.  Nicolas has been competing for Australia for over 6 years and has been teaching Judo in Australia for over 7 years.

The Olympic qualification process for Judo athletes requires they participate in major tournaments where they can accumulate points that will determine their world ranking. None of these major tournaments are in Australia, they are throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.

Competing in major national and international tournaments is essential to progress and earn a spot on the World and/or Olympic Team.  Nicolas receives no government funding from either State or National levels.  Judo athletes are required to fund themselves and without the support of businesses like yours Olympic hopefuls are unable to realise their full potential.
