The Olympic qualification process for Judo athletes requires they participate in major tournaments where they can accumulate points that will determine their world ranking. None of these major tournaments are in Australia, they are throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
Competing in major national and international tournaments is essential to progress and earn a spot on the World and/or Olympic Team. Nicolas receives no government funding from either State or National levels. Judo athletes are required to fund themselves and without the support of businesses like yours Olympic hopefuls are unable to realise their full potential.
